Account logistic manager

Main purpose of the role and key responsibilities:

Drive and control logistics activities in a cost and time efficient way within the Customer Project. Key tasks resulting to above:

General

  • Participates in tendering (logistics annex in customer contract) by creating the right logistics content in cooperation with the regional logistics service product manager.
  • Setting up and maintaining our infrastructure systems for demand planning and for reporting.
  • Build up the supply network for customer project. Demand Planning
  • Contribute to demand planning process by supporting CAT Controller and Project Manager in updating Nelle planning by providing information needed for short horizon planning. Having responsibility of data alignment between forecasting and ordering systems (Nelle versus MLS sales packages).
  • Proactive participation in Customer demand planning meetings, conveying Customer forecast into demand plan.
  • In product business responsible for equipment demand planning. Resource Planning and Management
  • Logistics people management in CAT.
  • Logistics resource planning and management in CAT and feedback competence gaps.
  • Implement IIPs for 100 % CAT dedicated logistics resources.
  • Participates to CAT contribution by most efficient usage of allocated logistics resources (WTR). Logistics Management
  • Logistics sales and cost management in CAT (Logistics Service Provider Costs, resources, local distribution).
  • Logistics Service Provider management.
  • Supports Service Partner Management and Site Engineering in local vendor selection and local material outsourcing (logistics appendix).
  • CAT logistics interface towards customer.
  • CAT logistics interface towards project partners and CL (frame management/performance review).
  • CAT inventory control (DOP, WIP and risk orders, customer stock).
  • Logistics performance measures and logistics risk analysis. Customer ordering and invoicing processes
  • Order confirmation and tracking.
  • Support customer in ordering.
  • Purchase ordering and invoicing process including products and services.
  • Customs clearance, import licenses, authorities, insurance claims.
  • Reverse logistics. Use of standard logistics processes and systems: Data correctness, traceability.
  • Period end closing and system reconciliation. Deliverables
